Have a question about keeping barnacles off a fiberglass hull. Went to Florida for 3 weeks and when I took the boat out it was covered with barnacles. It took a high pressure washer and 31% hydrocloric acid to get rid of them. Is there a spray or something I could use or should just take it out every 4 or 5 days to wash and dry the hull? I really don't want to paint it. Thanks

I have been told in the past that without bottom paint, you need to take your boat out
of the salt every 3 days, wash & dry to prevent buildup.

I have an idea I'm working on to keep the barnacles off to begin with. Here in Pa. we sprinkle powdered cayene pepper on our gardens to keep the deer from eating everything. I propse to put some hot pepper extract or powder into the bottom paint when I repaint this spring. It should keep the barnacles away. Bob
