Because fishing in the Rapp has been so poor, decided to head to the bay on Saturday. It was a fairly calm day, with the usual 1 to 2 foot chop in the bay. After trolling around 59A and not having a single strike (although marking good bait and fish), decided to head further East along the cut channel. Finally, had some decent luck once we found the feeding fish, landed 4 nice ones - 24" to 26" - nothing huge, but we got our limit of 4 in about 15 minutes via 2 double headers. All caught on swimming plugs. Observation is that the bait is very small. I share the concern about Menhaden being overfished. Given the weather forecast, might be our last trip for the year.
