Looks like some fishable days coming up and I'm betting most will head to PLO or Smith Point area.Remember that Va. has a no kill slot of 28 to 34 inches on Rockfish plus a 1 fish per day limit.Over 18 up to 28 or over 34 inches.

Would hate to see someone get busted for an honest mistake.If you catch and keep a 28 to 34 incher in Md waters - you can not then go into Va. waters.

You can catch and keep 34 and bigger in Va - then troll back into Md and hope for an under 28 incher though - but not the other way around.

Good luck to all that go - the Va/Md line is on most GPS units and is on all charts.

FWIW: I measure to the tip of the tail - just as the fish lays on the deck, not pinching the fish's tail.I always try to let anything close go - just in case I measure wrong.

The bulk of the Rock lately have been 36 inches or bigger :thumbup:.
