Sporting dogs need exercise and dogs in general, being pack animals, truly enjoy socializing with other canines. We stopped by Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis on the way back from the E. Shore today to let Sally have some fun. There is a separate dog beach for water dogs and she loves romping and stomping with the pack. We also took a hike through the park and I noticed a number of oyster floats on the far shore. You can buy a season pass for $30 or pay $5 per visit. Dog Activities at Quiet Waters Park

That's great. We may have to make the trip sometime for the pups, two yellow labs. They love to run and play with other dogs, especially in the water. We had them to the Keys several weeks ago and they had a blast playing in the water with some other labs.

Most of the "boat" people I know that go up & down the South River call it the "dog beach" there's always a crowd there. It always puts a smile on your face, as you're blowing by, to look over and seeing the pups having fun.

Great pics, Jim. Dogs look like they're in their element. Crockett loves Quiet Waters. If you haven't already, check out the Muddy Dog Wash on the left just after you leave the park. Great place to chill with coffee and a newspaper while they clean up the pooch. You can wash the dog yourself too, but it's worth the 10 bucks to me. Also, I know it's not yours, but I cringed when I saw that leashed dog running free with the pack. I've pissed a few people off at the Broadneck dog park even though I try to tell them nicely that it's a likely way for one of the playmates to get a broken leg.

Shawn - Thanks for the Muddy Dog Wash tip. Now I'm ticked at myself for not saying something to the the young guys who had that dog with the leash dangling. I felt bad for him, obvious that he felt constrained. Next time I will. Crocket looks like an awesome dog/buddy. Jim

(Linda/wife just corrected me, said it was a young couple with the dog that had a leash dangling)
