umm what would be the best epoxy to use for glueing a gimble back on to an offshore rod. thanks a lot

My preference is for U-40 Rod Bond. I use it for everything except rod tips

I've used PC7 for just about every rod I've built. Gimbals and reel seats. Although it's not just a "saltwater" adhesive I've never had a failure yet. JB Weld is good too. The PC 7 seems to expand to fill voids or the gimbal that may have an I.D. a tad bigger than the O.D. of the rod blank.

im just lookin for sumthin that will keep my gimble straight after constent torture of coming in and out of the rod holders. thanks for the info

Either Rod Bond or Kardol will work well. Be sure to clean out the inside of the gimbal with Scotchbrite to insure a good surface for bonding.
