Started my morning with a blow out on my trailer inside the HRBT at 0545,
I drove it thru on the rim and pulled over when I came out the tunnel.
Luckily I carry a spare, took me about 15 minutes to change it out.
Departed Rudee around 0715 and ran South about 50 foot of the beach
at 45 mph. Started seeing some birds around False Cape, I kept going
to about the N.C. line. I went out 3 miles and trolled thru some decent bait
for about 2 hours but could not buy a bite. Buy now it was blowing 25-30 mph
and the seas were 5-6 ft so I went back inshore and ran back. I did see or
here of any catches at the ramp. Back at 1130.

Sorry to hear about the skunk... and the wind situation ....blows! ......glad you are ok and had a spare good thinking there not to mention lucky :clover:. More importantly I am grateful that you got back to shore safely cause the wind was blowing so hard you could actually hear it whistling in the trees here..

I was at CH around 3:30 and saw a SKI....thought it was you. I came along side thinking I would get a pic of the boat like you always do....taken pics which are great. Well I came up to him and it wasn't you but he had a big fat fish coming to his SKI. I think the guy wet his wetsuit, he was happy to say the least. He pulled in a nice fish. Birds were working, some bait but not many people catching.
