Anyone catching any Drum around Cape Charles, Fisherman’s Island? Planning on fishing all next week out of Kiptopeake State Park. Little early but on vacancy the park had open.

Dont forget to give us a follow up report.
After getting settled in on Sunday May 1 we fished on Monday daytime catching 5 Black Drum plus lots of Cow Nose Rays. Biggest Drum was 44 inches. Returned to ocean off Fisherman Island on Tuesday catching only 2 Black Drum. One was 49 inch citation + lots of Rays. Wednesday left dock heading to ocean boat went into limp mode. Made it back to dock and loaded it to take to repair shop. Four other boat with us fished Wednesday, Thursday and Friday without catching a fish. Bite stopped completely. Bite should be on this week but the wind is going to be brutal. Good luck to anyone out there.

thanks for report bubba. Myself and a group of old tidalfish members went over and set up camp the following Wednesday in the height of the noreaster and stayed until Sunday. Wend and Thursday were unfishable conditions but it layed out Friday and we fished Oyster and caught nothing. Sat we all put in at Kiptopeake and found some fish at 13bouy after trying Nautilus Shouls. One of the four boats found them at 13 and called the others over and we ended up with 6 total of 30lbers. Sea Clam and Chowders were bait.
