Maybe I missed something.I've read this Obama reference in a couple other posts and it never occurred to me that it was a refference to color. I did not make the connection between the parachutes happening to be black and Obama. I assumed that the ones posting were referring to the timing with Obama happening to just have taken the office or to a comparison between the success of these 'chutes and the success of our President. Or perhaps a comparison to each's own popularity.
If he, or anyone else, had referred to the same 'chute as the "Reagan" no one would have thought any thing of it.
Perhaps the only racists are the one that automatically assume the referrence is due only to the color. I have not read one racist or even insensitve post regarding these 'chutes or the color of them except by the one complaing of it.
Geez Guys, lighten up. It's a new era.

We have been using Fish on Tackles lures almost excluivey (ignore the spelling) On the Blue Dragon and that have paid off BIG TIME we have caught limits in less than an hour on days the fleet was struggling and have even managed to pull off a small bluefin while trolling his stuff. As far as it holding up they are made with care and quality after getting slammed , beaten, and abused they still have their eyes and their paint all they need at the end of the day is some fresh water and a brush then they are ready for the next day.

Be careful with calling them "Big Eyes", there is a medical condition called Exophthalmos which is sometimes called a pop eye, protruding eye, or bulging eye, those affected might take offense...

Calling lures "White heads" could be construed as poking fun at those affected with acne, the same goes for "Black Heads"...

Maybe we should re-think the way we refer to other common terms in fishing so that no one is ever possibly offended:

"Jigs" or "jigging", might offend the Irish
"three-way" swivels, college kids experimenting and swingers
"trolling", little people
"fighting" a fish, assault and battery victims
"marking" fish, anyone named Mark
"bobber", anyone named Bob

All stupid, I know...just tired of the sensitivity in general...

I cheat I get them from a fellow capt on the board (Bay Banger) he live just around the bend from petey and gets a great price we will do bulk orders and get a break but even alone I have still not been able to beat his prices anyway LOL. The Black head with the white hair had done me well but the chartuse has been good as well in the parachutes
