In my boat I fish the front and only hit every other good looking stump as to let the guy in the back have a chance.
Also if you can use a braided line, use it. It is super sensitve and you will feel everything on the bottom.
Also if you are worm fishing and think you are going slow enough, slow down some more. Maybe also try the shacky head rig, dropshot or whacky rig.
