After a great day of cat fishing on the Pamunkey between Williams Landing and White House I was pleasently surprised when a dolphin jumped straight up out of the water right in the middle of the river about 20 yds. in front of my boat on my way back to Williams.

Had to be about 5 to 6ft. long.
Jumped straight up out of the water, flipped over and went straight back in the water nose first.

Went back over the area and marked alot of fish on the bottom but never saw it again. I was running about 25 mph when I saw it.

Caught plenty of blue cats for the fish fry (nothing to big but the bite was on for sure, 1 mud cat throw back) and then that on the way back. Almost didn't believe my eyes but I've seen plenty of them at the OBX so I knew for sure what it was.

I remember a few years back when some were spotted up at Walkerton during the drought that summer. I think that was 2002?

He's the one who told me about the one's at Walkerton.
I wouldn't have believed it but I saw the photos in the newspaper.
My buddy told me they saw some at West Point before in the past also.
