Mike, I'm not sure of the size of that reel...I use a 6' MF action st croix tidemaster for most of my LL...its a little light but sporting... I also have a 7' HF st croix tidemaster that I use for bigger fish and around heavy structure...this is a little heavy but I want it to horse the fish out from the structure.

I use spectra line with a mono leader...
