We decided at the last minuite this morning to go and try once more our luck on this little grass field for geese today. We got the deks set at 7:15, ground frozen and our tool for setting silouttes in froze ground bent the ground was so cold, so we only set about 10 silouttes out today. Seen 4 birds at 7:30 comming off the big water, never gave us a look. 1 hour of waiting and at 8:30 they started flying, first volley we got 2 outta 3, should have had the third, but he flew right into the sun and I lost him, about 1/2 hour til the next shot, a few more hit the ground including 1 from my biddies 8 yr old son, (NICE)!
We had another youth in the mix this morning, he was able to get his first bird. Birds really came off the water good at 9:30 and we limited out with 8 birds. It really didn't feel that cold this morning. Did anybody else get out today?
I'd like to get on some blue bills before next week, any reports would be great help.
