went pup fishing w/ friend of mine neal in long creek. neal caught 5 for every 1of mine, must be the 6 lb test he used. i was using 10 lb. had to be cause we used the exact same 1/8 oz jig & 3" tail. weren't too many fools out today but we were 2 of em. something cool happened to both of us out there, we both hooked up on a cutter h. shad. he boated his & i lost mine @ the boat. 1st time ever.

That is a very nice little bay. We had the boat down there the last week of August and met up with friends of mine there the day before we came back up north, really liked hanging out on the beach with the boat beached rite there. It was a fun day but never really did any fishing back there.

Surprisingly, the lighter line will make all the difference in the world when it comes to catching Specs.

Looks like it was a little breezy. My neighbor caught a bunch of those shad this spring
up in Richmond. I have never caught one around here. Thanks for the report.

thats why he was suprised Brian - neither have we around here.....we get them by the 100's up in Richmond.......they are the one & only prime catfish bait we use...........its gizzard shad or go home~really..........there have been times Tony & I have filled the bow of that Bayliner full of shad
