Doing research for a 10 gauge, I found that there were many good things written about the gun. It sounded to me like a Chevy vs. Ford type issue. Check out Goosehunting Chat.com. Do a search on the gun. Many opinions from around the country.

I have deer hunted with one for 2 years now and shot great, My thoughts are its more of a waterfowl gun then a deer gun. I dog hunt(for deer) with it and its a little awkward on the swing but thats just me.I have tho knocked down deer at 100 yards with 3" 00 Buck. Used it for dove season with the modified choke and could hardly miss. The gun is well made and truly as far as quality in a class by itself.
Good Luck with your decision,
Mike

I agree with Will S. I currently have a Gold but wish I had spent the extra money and got a Benelli. I hunt ducks, geese and dove with it and have to clean it after every hunt or it will not shuck the empties. I take very good care of the gun but it just seems go get slow after a couple of round. All my buddies that have Benelli's do not seem to have the same problem and they treat them like sh*t. Just my experience.

I'm a South American High Volume Dove/Pigeon outfitter. I can't talk to Browning Gold. I have Benelli Super 90's as rental guns,( $50 / day ). My guns get shot 1000 times a day,,,,,,,day in and day out. I can't afford to have guns breaking done on me. Only maintenance other than daily cleaning is I replace all the springs at the end of each season. I sell them in Paraguay after 5 years for the same thing I paid for them. Benellis are tops in my book.
