We hit Wachapreague and Willis Wharf both usually every May. We might get 1 or 2 as by catch during the whole week but I figure that at slack tide while flounder are chilling the trout are getting in the mood. So Wachapreague and Willis in mid May jig with Gulp in deep holes or are you casting around creek mouths and in the shallows ? Any good spots to target in either of these places or just a waste of time ?

Old flounder guy needs to learn to troll at slack tides for some good flounder action. You either need a trolling motor or a back trolling plate. Back trooling plate works great, had one on my 20 key west wa and could control speed anywhere between 1mph to 5mph

We way prefer jigging fluke (using a bow mount Riptide troller), that being said we should really give it a go a few times. I guess you are saying what I thought, trouts are hit and miss. Our boat is a little small (15') to have 9 rods + gear and 3 guys. We have some friends that are avid trollers but they have larger boats (20').

Can't find any reports what's going on down there anywhere online.
