Had a good weather window for this afternoon so towed the ski to Kipoteke
and dropped around 1300. Ran straight to Nautilus shoals and made three
long drifts. Had one dog and one short run that came off. I was able to drift
5 lines with eels on the ski. I did not see many boats on the ocean side but
there were a lot of boats at the ramp, I think a lot were fishing no. 18. I keep
seeing Max King so here is another pic.

Saw you out there today. I was going to go say hi, but when I looked up again you were nearly out of site. We had three fish today. As of today I am a member of the 50+ lb club. weighed in at 56lb at Back RIver Market. Five eels on the ski, I would have liked to seen that. Looking forward to Sat. Night.

Well I just learned something and I've lived over here for 12 years. When I saw your picture I thought to myself, "self... that there is Smith Island Light...". But... being the smart guy that I am and recognize how often I am wrong..... I looked it up and sure enough.... it is Cape Charles Light.... on Smith Island.... what.. did they put it in the wrong place?

Thanks for the lesson. I'm going to have to start questioning all my friends and ask them to tell me the name of the lighthouse on Smith Island.

Keep up the good work... taking all those pictures and fishing reports. I read them all... thanks.

It may be Cape Charles Light to the rest of the world but if you live on the Eastern Shore it is Smith Island Light.

The helmet cam would be cool!!! Personally I think you should do it JSB!!!

I thought I invented eeling?!?!?!?! No!?!?! Actually I felt he was referring to the the Simrad and Virginia Beach Contender boats using the location information on Chumlordfishing.com more than the tactic!!!

% poles off a jet ski thats pretty impressive. What would you do if they all went off at the same time?
Good shots Brian, they have been spitting the eels a lot this year. The ones that are surviving the 1000's of eels they see daily now are getting educated quick or die.:D

That would be very rare. Eeling is different from dragging. The fish are scattered and you might get a double but all five would be odd and you had better play Mega Millions if that happens:yes:

Brian,
5 rods at one time on a ski is impressive:thumbup: way to cold for me though, I don't know how you do it.
Chum, not to break your ego bubble, but that area has been producing big fish long before your web site hit the air. but if it makes you feel good to take credit for finding that area for some of the regions best anglers then kudos to you!!:clapping2::clapping2::clapping2: It's just is a little more crowded now.
