After yesterday's awesome catch & release action I called Capt. Ben to see if wanted to try it today. He was in! We left little creek around 230pm and headed for the curve of the CBBT. Unfortunately the fish we were on yesterday had moved. We looked around for 20 or 30 minutes with nothing. We started to hear some radio chatter about a good bite and working birds at CH. Well, it was really pretty so we decided to make the run. Got to the CH buoy and it was raining gannets. The fish were moving really quickly so we had to work to stay on 'em but it was a great afternoon bite. We were using 1oz-1.5oz white bucktails to jig a good mid 30" class of rockfish. After getting our limit, we eased just South of the fleet to another group of birds and found the fish rolling on top chasing bunker...what a cool sight!! It was great fishing with Capt. Ben. Glad you could make it buddy! I only got one picture today...Ben on the bow of the boat doing battle with a big striper:thumbup:
