We fished the Cape today from 10am until about 3pm. We ended up with our limit of fish up to 39". The stretches produced more fish, but the mojo's on the bottom produced better quality. It was not on fire, but decent. At least everyone pretty much got along without a bunch of *****in' on the radio like it usually is at Cape Henry. Ben

I was there also. Fished inside the fleet with hardly anyone around me while I was there. I had three other guys that were supposed to go with me and none showed so off I went solo at 730am. Hit the Cape at about 930after gasing up and setting up my spread. As I got to the Cape I saw good bait marks and some fish on the finder I decided to stop and put out 2 rods. Within 30 mins I had a beast on a 16oz Mojo and tomic combo. (Pink/White and pink/Pearl). Lost that fish after a few minutes as my lines got tangled. Reset and 15 mins later lost another fish when I was getting the net. I was cursing the hos at that point. Finally I boxed a nice 35" on the 16 oz Mojo. With the skunk out of the boat kept on and proceeded to boat a Footbal 25"er back it went. Reset and continued working North to South and South to North. Got a nice run on the tomic/ Mojo again. Boated a really nice 41" fish on the pink and pearl tomic. With my limit I headed in with two nice fish at 1:15. I worked the same area the whole time I was there which encompassed about 600 yds of good marks and fish. While I was trolling I would notice boats which looked to be running past the area I was in and then they would suddenly stop and begin trolling within close proximity to me. I guess they were seeing the marks ad they were passing. I did have about another half dozen hits that never came tight. It sounded like I was busier than most I don't know if it was what I was draggin or just where I was. Heres to fishin away from the crowd.

did i read it wrong or what- dont the regs say two fish per person and only ONE of the two over 28ins.
That's for the bay and it's one fish per person as of the 21st of this month. In the ocean (allowed from the beach to three miles out) it's 28 inches or more and two per person.

Ben Burns - great job on your 3rd place finish in the VA BCH National ASA Tournament on Saturday.

You gotta jump that Murphy's Irish Pub 33 Grady next year - what a great group of guys they are! Met the owner last night - class act!

You're a very talented fisherman!

Look forward to seeing you/sorry/beating you this weekend!

David
