Got an invite from my neighbor, Capt. Roy Hooks to go rockfishing this morning. We left Little Creek on his Yanmar powered 24 Albemarle Center Console around 11am...what a sweet ride!! We got out near the CH Buoy and put lines in and started trolling North. The further North we got the better the marks got. We got up near the 4a and turned back South and marked a nice ball of bait, then the tandem chartreuse 'chute goes off...32"er in the box. OK, the bite has started:clap:...NOT. We continued south all the way to just off the Ramada without another bite. Called it at 4:45. We'll get 'em next time!

It was slow for me as well, I managed 1 keeper. Gotta love those yanmars, my
last boat had twin yanmars. Sipped the fuel and I put 3500 hours on them in
seven years.
