·Kinda got trashed on another post because I suggested that if you are fishing inside the Bay during closed season and doing catch and release you should follow a few rules of consideration for the fishery.
I think you should replace any treble hooks with single hooks on plugs and should use circle hooks if you are eeling or bait fishing. Its just my lowly opinion that trebles rip up a fish more and J hooks do more damage to a fish especially if gut hooked.
Ran across the bay the other day and saw 3 dead 30+ inch fish floating on the surface. Pulled one and it still had a J hook down deep in it that wasn't too rusted yet. My assumption is that it was a catch and release.
If you are fishing for the sport and just want some pullage, then dont do damage to a fish you cant keep.
