The CCA Maryland Baltimore Chapter will host its next meeting on Monday, April 18th at 6:30 PM at Nick's Fish House, 2600 Insulator Drive in Baltimore. We're fortunate to have our good friends John Page Williams and Shawn Kimbro speaking to us on their Careful Catch program. Catch & release fishing is a valuable conservation tool, but the effectiveness is diminished if fish do not survive after being released. By adopting just a few simple habits, recreational anglers can increase the chances that the fish they catch and release will survive. They'll show us practical tips, techniques and gear to ensure the fish you catch and release not only survive, but thrive. John Page, in his role as Senior Naturalist with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, will also spend a few minutes speaking about the current state of the Bay. We'll also try to get Shawn to provide a few words on his experience with the spring season so far, what seems to be working and what's not.

There is a full menu and cash bar available at Nick's; the public is invited to attend. All attendee's will be automatically entered into a drawing for tackle or a gift card generously donated by Tochterman's Tackle.

Hope to see you all there.

I was fortunate to see their Careful Catch presentation last weekend in Solomons Island. They spoke at a Mason-Dixon Outdoor Writers working lunch at the Holiday Inn. It was very interesting and worth seeing. Everybody will learn something.
