Special Presentation from The Chesapeake Bay Foundation -

Chris Moore, Science Advocate from Virginia will be presenting - an important seminar regarding the health of the Chesapeake Bay. Chris will outline the Foundation's Water Watcher program. The program is an educational, citizen-based project to report suspected water quality problems with an aim ultimately to improve water quality in the Bay and its rivers and streams. In part, this seminar will focus on how to identify dead zones, types of algal blooms and species of fish killed and discuss reasons behind these occurrences and solutions to the water quality problems. The foundation is asking for citizen help to document where these events are occurring in Virginia. The information will be used in the Foundation's efforts to secure long-term funding for clean water initiatives in Virginia.

The good folks at Boaters World will also be attending and discussing the latest in Marine Electronics and have promised some door prizes.
