Had the pleasure of fishing with my neighbor, Capt. Roy Hooks today. Roy had a couple of his employees that really wanted to just catch some fish. I suggested giving the big reds one last shot at the third island. Lines in around 230pm...we put down live spot on 3 way rigs and also put down 1/2 of a blue crab just in case. It wasn't long before we were hooked up. About 10 minutes later a big black drum comes boatside! In the boat for a quick measurement at 51" and a couple photos and back in the water he goes. By the way he ate the crab. Unfortunately that was it for the drum. We finished the day at the 4th island once the tide began to flood it was all you wanted schoolie rocks on white bucktails. We got our 4 man limit with the biggest going 22". Really nice ride back to Little Creek right at sunset.
