Thank you for posting this information. That is why this time of year I wear a wet and survival suit, as
well as a change of clothes and extra life jacket. Have not had to use the extra clothes yet. In the
spring and fall I have practiced the proper deployment of my survival suit and righting the jet ski. I also
carry numerous other safety equipment and let others know where I am going, when I am leaving, check
in while I am out there and when I get back. My feelings go out to the families regardless of the
mistakes and bad decisions those individuals made. Hopefully some of the over crowded little boats
will learn a lesson.

The videos of the individuals hitting the cold water are very telling. One of them basically shows it's almost impossible to put on a lifejacket once you hit cold water. I also fish out by the bay bridge tunnel and many people, as you all know, don't where lifejackets.

Brain you should check on a dry suit, I wear one on my kayak and it is the way to go. I can swim in 40 degree water in mine and never feel the water on my skin.
I have a mustang suit as well, but it get stiff and makes reentry tough on a kayak.
