How come the area immidiately accessible to the Croaker ramp is overrun with commercial gill nets and crab pots? Why don't they just go down river a mile and put all their **** out - that seems the smart thing to do. Out of sight - out of mind. You'd think they want to avoid all the recreational folks who will tangle up with their nets and pots.

I watched a crabber empty his pots - almost all small crabs and everything was indescrimently dumped in the bottom of the boat.

I motored down river a mile or two - not a crab pot or gill net in sight. It's like Omega Proteins, just on a smaller scale.

Shakespeare once said " First - kill all the crab potters".
Dude - experienced folks know where to fish. It's that simple.
Ramp? Public??? Heck w/ that, there's CRABS in them thar hills...

Be smart - avoid the nets. OR fish the nets on the way in and out.
Lotsa fish at the nets. Lots.
