Like I said, a law someone doesn't like, and regulations on DIY boats already exist, no one "is coming for your boats"...
No, but they eventually will try to come for your guns. Just look at history.
Might want to also look up a writing by Joseph Curran, the old MD Attorney General. He had a paper on "A blueprint to ban handguns" in MD. If you don't think that's their end goal, you're mistaken.

Yes and it was like shooting fish in a barrel with my CC permit......lol
When I was working in Florida there was a 5' alligator in the lake outside my door. Once or twice a week he would grab my lure and spend 1/2hr to 45 minutes of exercise on 12lb test. When I finally landed him and I was ready to snatch him out by the mouth he would open his mouth and the lure would pop out. I had my LCP in my pocket and could hear Troy Landry saying Choot I'm. If there weren't houses every 100' or so with people home his ass would have been boots, a belt and a few holsters.

Anyone been fishing lately?
I went out of Cobb Island Saturday. I trolled down past St Catherine's then back up to the bridge. No luck. I managed to loose an Umbrella rig and one of my planers and an eel rig on the stinking Crab pots etc that are still everywhere!!!. I'm going to Solomons Wednesday. Going to try to net some bait to live line and I got one of those planers that act like a cannon ball to get things down. I still have one of my homemade planers that semi worked keeping my lines separated. It's about 12"x6" aluminum with foam insulation on top. I use a quick release clip on both of them instead of attaching them directly to the line.

So do Nations. We are solidly at the end of Tytlers Cycle right on schedule.
I know the concept of country seems entrenched in most folks minds, but it is a relatively new thing, and certainly temporary (as is technically everything). The economic development of the globe will in time change that, but the US will be a thing in some shape or form for at least a couple of centuries, not sure I agree with the process being a defined cycle. The world is a very different place than when Tytler was around.

Hooray!!! I finally got my new carry piece. I picked up my Max9 with a Crimson Trace red dot. My old P11 has done reasonably well since the 90's but getting consistent hits to 25yds with the irons has been getting challenging. I slapped a dot on a 22 pistol and realized how much easier it was to just pick things off out to 25-50 yds. I'll wring it out tomorrow and see what it'll do. First I'll bench it to zero everything and find it's mechanical accuracy potential then start doing drills with it.
Without the dot it's only justification over the P11 is the sights that I can actually see and the trigger is a few pounds lighter. They are identical in size both holding 10rnds.
I have always found Ruger's to be solid, reliable performers. My Kel Tec not so much I put what would have cost over $1,000 in work into making it the gun it is now. From what I hear the Max 9 does around 3" @ 25yds so with the dot I should be good to 50yds as minute of bad guy with anything inside 25yds a slam dunk. The red dot has a 20,000hr battery life and shuts off when not moving. I have a few holster ideas so I'll need to hit Hobby Lobby for a piece of leather. I have a design I came up with that can do a shoulder, belt, cargo pocket discreet holster.

It's gonna take a really good legal team to keep someone plinking "bad guys" at 25 yds out of jail.
It's kind of a standard I have for myself. You just never know what you will need to accomplish. A mass shooter that you aren't immediately in front of. Somebody grabs your grandchild and runs etc. It seems like the only firearm that won't get you in trouble in a defense situation would have no sights a bent barrel and ammo that might fizzle if you're lucky. I suppose I will be in trouble because I carry firearms that are as accurized as possible with ammo that is the most effective that I can assemble. The worst possible combinations per any lawyer for sure. Heaven forbid you have something capable of precisely placing projectiles capable of neutralizing a threat while minimizing danger to bystanders!!!
