Still some fish around to be had eeling. Strange how the tide was flat for hours this morning. The Captain today was Gray Milone fishing on his boat "Windy Gale". We arrived at 9:30 and the tide finally started to move pretty good after noon. That's when the catching began. Lots of boats early in the day 60? boats maybe and by the time the tide started moving it was down to ten boats. We caught some, had a double and kept our three from 38-40 inches. Captain Milone caught the biggest fish of the day. All three kept fish were donated to Hub Mahanes to be smoked and served during the cocktail hour of the Richmond Ducks Unlimited Dinner Feb 18 2009. I had so much fun today that I am going again tomorrow.:clap:

Three Rod Holder

The rod holder came from Green Top in Richmond. They are made out of Aluminum and painted white with rubber inserts to protect your rod. Fairly inexpensive. I bought them last winter and paid $70 I think?

I have two. I use them mainly while catfishing the James River. They also work great for trolling from a small boat. I found out today they ain't to shabby for eeling!
