Has anyone used the one foot square mats they sell at BP ect., are they hard on bare feet? Or would it be better to repaint with a non-slip deck paint?
Do you mean Dri-Dek? Its the interlocking rubber matting. I put some in my boat last year and it works great. It does take a little getting used to in bare feet but its not really hard or painful on them.
Go to "Rental Uniform Service" or some textile leasing company and get their OLD entry rugs used in office buildings. Cut'em to fit... they're cheap. Don't have'em on the Honey Hole but have fished boats that use'em.
But first think about those nasty trebble hooks on your stretches and just what a PIA they are now. Then think about the time you'll waste getting them un-stuck from the fish, the net AND a mat.
Non-skid paint IMO.
