A friend and myself are thinking about taking one of the 16 hour Deep Drop trips on the headbaot out of Rudee. I know some of you have done this and would like some feedback on how your trips went. I am sure most of the fishermen on board will be fishing cutbait and was wondering if I want to jig lures will I ruffle feathers. I am gonna make my own jigs to take and was wondering what weights should i build? will 50 pound Power Pro work or should I go heavier? What type of leader should I use between the braid and the jig. Do I need to tie my own rigs for bait fishing and what should they be? Circle hooks? Do I need to take any bait? What size cooler should we take? Thanks in advance for any help.
