Take it easy on recovering from the surgery............you could tie up dozens of flies while you are laid up. This will help with the Shad sickness. Posting on here is good therapy as well.
I can't wait for the shad to come in up here in the Susquehanna.........I'm gettn' the itch bad myself.

troutman - Shame on you!... last year you at least had the common curtesy to wait until Feb11 to bring up the "SHAD" issue (I checked). But I don't blame you for jumping the gun, being laid up and all with an appendectomy... not to mention its been a nasty January for getting out and doing a little fishing. Now I gotta go to my man-cave and fondle all my shad lures.

And don't forget your DC license. I sent in my DC license request form on Dec30, license arrived on Jan29... one month later. I got the form from the DC Fisheries web site. Send it in NOW and you'll get it in time.
