J.r. Tackle is now in the hands of george bentz (fishleader)
we will be at the pasadena sportfishing flea market/show
on feb.14 & 15, 2009 at the same tables john robbins had.
The inventory is incredible.
Sure hope this buy out was a good move.
I would appreciate any suggestions you may have on items that i need to bring to the show.

Is this fishing flea market/show the largest and best one of this year? There are quite a few on the list of this area starting from this coming weekend and the last one in April. My bodies and I would love to attend one but not all. Could you give us an idea which one we should go? I appreciate your advice in advance.

Pasadena is a great show but get there early, gets crowded. They have alot packed into a relatively small space inside.

The Pasadina show will be the only one I'll attend this year and Tylers Bait & Tackle booth is always the first booth my wallet comes out. I was really disapointed the Marlboro horse show didn't happen this year. I hope Georgie gets more support next year from vendors so the horse show can return. :))
Don't leave without get'n yourself and your "bodies" a BBQ beef samwich and some oysters...................:Dthe samwich is worth the trip bye itself:yes:..............................

I enjoy going to all shows to see what's new in the line of fishing tackle. What's great at the shows is you also get to shoot the bull with your fishing buddies.
If you need to supply your tackle box the vendors have it at good prices. I do not go to any show to sit and listen to a speaker because MSSA, CCA and the Pasadena Sportfishing have some of the best guest speakers at their monthly meetings and it's free.
My outlook at any show is to buy the items I need and enjoy just being there.

JR's tackle was based in Pasadena....JR was a very friendly and VERY generous man who recently passed away. Always had a lot of inventory at the PSG Show. JR usually had his friend Woody working with him. Good luck George, hope it works out!

Besides the regular trolling stuff... I'd like to see some large casting plugs like the Super Spooks, and needle fish used in the surf and Susquhanna Flats. The bigger the better but all types and sizes would be interesting. Good luck at the show.

Paid a visit to George today, man does he have a load of tackle, spoons, bucktails, surgical hose, rods, rattletraps, plugs, and more. At a time when many small operations are going under, it is good to see someone willing to take this kind of risk to get into. Plus he is a wealth of knowledge.
I would definately recommend stoppng by his booth at the PSG show, or getting in touch with him, and dropping a few greenbacks. He is still going through things, and pricing looked to be pretty good.

Ok, Crow Bait, et. al. - when are the shows? I went to The P.G. Equestrian Center last weekend and found that show was cancelled.

Any help would be appreciated!!
