mono
i like 80lb but it really depends on the size eyelet of the hook i'm using....i need to be able to get the doubled section of the dropper loop through the eyelet of the hook...gami's have really small hole on small meat hooks for sea bass etc... and you can't get 80lb through anything smaller than a 4/0 gami octopus...

80 to 130lb leader material is also nice because its so stiff and can be really helpful in mess bottom fishing tangles....i like jinkia

cheers

Seabass

Thought I had a Podcast on that subject perhaps I will put one together?!?!?!
chumlord which circles and size do you use for you to be able to use 80lb dropper loop rigs,
because most under 5/0 eyelids arent big enough for that size line!!!

Those Eagle Claw or Penn 6/0s fit perfect the Gamakatsus won't fit with 80. You can however cut your dropper and tie directly to the hook.
