I was taking my daughter to the dentist in Timonium yesterday 2-1-06 and the bridge was packed, saw two guys bring crappies over the rail as we passed by, hope this helps.

I haven't been there in quite a while. In the olden days I always liked fisdhing off the north side of the bridge where the action was better. Great place to shake off the winter blues though with a warm calm day and lottsa sunshine...

BTW, heard some good reports for the Nicodemus Road bridge at Liberty for crappie too.

The problem with fishing the bridge is that the small crappies that aren't kept are killed when thrown back into the the water from the high bridge to be returned to grow bigger.

I agree with you capt Nick, I used to hook the crappie back on the hook, barely, set them in the water and give a quick tug to release them. It usually worked.
