Man was it windy. Put in at KN at 0700 right before the crabber rush. Tried TW and rattle traps south side of the narrows out of the wind but no real success. Moved south toward the mouth of the miles and trolled about an hour without a bite. The the tide musta started movin out because the birds started goin crazy all around us. Thee seemed to be three main flocks. Chased the birds and started havin some pullage. Caught about 2 dozen striper (13-17), but none legal. All on a hammered hopkins. About half a dozen 14-16 inch blues mixed in. It ws so rough nothing stayed steady. The bait would sound quickly, and it was hard to jig cuz of the wind. Seemed more like slow trollin. The north wind against the outgoin tide made it rougher real quick. wasn't about to mess with an anchor. All in all it was a lotta fun once the bite was on. Saw a coupla boats out there loaded with divers. They musta been cold as sheet with that wind. Wondered what the were doin in eastern bay?? All in all could only take it for about 4 hours then headed for the ramps. Will try again later this week when the wind dies down.
