We had to work hard (actually, Chuck worked hard, we drank beers) but we managed 5 keepers and one throwback. Things were VERY slow but we kept at it. Chuck moved around a bit but we ended up catching all of ours in the same area. NW of Cabbage Patch--I think that's what he called it.

Anyway--3 were all triplets--24-26 pounds and 40 inches or so. One was a couple inches more and a couple of pounds more and the last was about 35 inches and 24 pounds. Nice hogs. Didn't get any pictures but everyone else did.

We fished from 7AM until Charlie finally said (about 5:30) that we didn't have to stay out just to get him a keeper. Especially since they were going out today again. We had an adventurous ride back in the dark (no spotlight on Chuck's boat) and only ran aground once! I drove back and was home before midnight. Been cleaning fish and making some up today.

Chuck said if the wind was good this morning, he was going to head ocean-side where the bite has been better lately. I hope they did great today!
Day 2
The day started with two and three foot seas in the bay, so Chuck decided to stay in the bay. Today we went fishing instead of catching. The day started off good, Charlie had a fish on the dead stick almost by the time the lines were set. The fish spit the eel out almost at the boat. A half hour later Charlie landed the biggest fish of the trip. The fish was 44 inches and 32 pounds. Dominick was up next and once again had a quick release about half way to the boat .:helpsmilie:The rest of the day we did not even get a pull down. Chuck looked for fish from the Target ships to Cape Charles.:thumbup:We called it a day around 3:00 since everyone had a long ride home. Chuck talked to the other charter captain in the marina and everyone had the same results.

I want to thank everyone that came on the trip for a great time. We had a great crew both days and Chuck Fisher is a top notch captain and has a awesome boat.

Capt Chuck is top notch.

I have tied up next to Capt. Chuck for the last two years in Cape Charles, he puts fish on the dock. Normally when I have one or two, he has 5,6 8 fish!!!!! This has been a strange year down there, with bait being scarce. Bit if there is fish to be had, Capt. Chuck seems to find them. He is always quick with the advice and help - a true Ambassador to the sport!
