Does anyone have success drifting with eels in the ocean, they work so well in the bay but you never hear of them used in the ocean. Im debating whether to troll around CH or head over to kiptopeke to use the last of the eels I have this weekend.
Thanks,
Cashin

yes it does work in the ocean.

The American Striper Association held it's 8th and final 2008 Mercury Striper Series Tournament in Virginia Beach on Saturday, December 13th. The Virginia Beach National moved Captain David Nova of Team Marlin Maniac into the lead over Captain Greg Nunn of Team Hapi Daze in the ASA Angler of the Year battle and won Nova the title of the Nation's Best Striped Bass Fisherman and a $35,000 cash award. The Virginia Beach National also crowned a tournament champion and new ASA record holder for a 61.50 pound Rockfish. Captain Max King of Team Virginia Beach Contender won the tournament with a two fish total of 100.30 pounds which included the largest striper ever caught during an American Striper Association tournament. The 61.50 fish was caught around 7:30 in the morning and provided King a $10,000 bonus provided by Faria Marine Instruments which pays the huge bonus whenever a 60+ pound fish is caught by ASA members during the tournament series. The $10,000 bonus and $4555 tournament winnings provided a nice payday for the Virginia Beach Contender crew.

:fishing2:I enjoy drifting eels on the seaside inlets or up and down the beach!!! It's easy on your pocket book also. Good luck if you try it.
