I agree JP . I was praying for at least a good 12 -24 inch snowstorm. They don't come that often anymore
no ice for me, only snow. Will have to take a trip up to my grandmothers in upstate Vermont . They are expecting @ 2 feet plus. It was only -2 F without the wind chill
when I called her @8 pm tonight. I miss those winters in Vermont snowmobiling
Grady Baby, I guess I had better get myself back down the shop and start doing some housecleaning.
The season starts on March 1, but, by the looks of things we might have to chop our way to the flats.
I heard some important news last night from the higher ups at the DNR. Beginning May 16th, when the season opens down the bay, we flats fishermen will be able to keep a fish also. One slot limit fish, but I do not know the exact size. I think something between 18 & 25".
So, this essentially means beginning March 1, we can C & R until May 15th, depending on water temperatures and then we can catch & keep a fish from May 16th to June 1, when we can keep two fish over 18," if they are still there.
With all the snow in New York, we should have cool water temperatures for a while, which will keep the fish on the flats. Hopefully.
Ele thats great news hopefully we'll have a banner year and we'll talk real soon about my BA order.
Les I'll have to tow Blue Thunder she doesn't like it when I leave her all alone.
JP only 16 days left can you believe it?
