Very Sad News. On the night of January 9th, Port Kinsale Marinas "D" dock caught on fire. 4 boats were destroyed in the fire, including Capt. Scottie Moss's boats the Pamela Sue and the Subek. Scottie is a well known charter capt in the NN and is loved by many. My boat is dry docked there and was fortunately unharmed. Such a tragic accident, can't find any newspaper articles about it but will post the links when I do.

On the PRAC site there are pics as fire was burning. Some pic the mechanic took and emailed to me. Some on the PRAC was also asking about restaurant reopening. I said not ever I think.

From PRAC

Do not think the restaurant will ever reopen. The covered dock probably will never be rebuilt or even cleaned up from this mess. Went down there to take some daytime pics but mechanic at marina already emailed some.

I also stopped and talked with Capt. Scotty Moss and he hopefully will find another boat within a couple months to get ready for Striper season. If anyone knows of a Chesapeake Deadrise 46ft with diesel engine (s) let me know and I can get info to him. Thanks.

Why wouldn't they clean it up? If they don't clean it up what an eye sore in my opinion. I would just think it is the marinas responsibility to clean it up. Sorry that it even took place, very tough on all those involved.
