I was wondering if any fish are biting from mid bay north up to the susky. Now that hunting season is over, I want to get into some action. Crappie, Walleye, Perch, it doesn't matter. I just bought my boat last spring and would like some cold water pointers.

Anyone filmilar with the Pond north of the Conowingo dam ? I have always heard stories of Walleye and Crappie but nothing concrete.

Any tips

Thanks

Stop in at Herb's bait/tackle in Northeast. They are always very helpful about fishing in that area.

Walleye should be biting below the dam - in the tailrace.Conowingo lake is good.Broad Creek and Conowingo creek are good for ice fishing.Once the ice is gone - the discharge at Peach Bottom is a good spot to try.The warm water holds the shoreline for a good 1/2 mile.

Broad creek is one of my favorite big Crappie spots. The shoreline drops off fast plus there are a lot of downed trees.Live minnows are great and do not be afraid to nose right into the bank. Some areas are 5-6 feet deep - right at the shoreline. You can spend all day just in the creek. The mouth of the creek is good for bass - look for the rocky points.
