Had been planning trip for Friday and Saturday for a couple of weeks and with the wind coming, decided to go ahead and give it a try on Friday. Rain. Wasn't too cold and wind was down so loaded up and hit crab creek about 1pm. Decided to hit 2nd island and ride towards 3rd looking for action.
About 1/2 was between the islands came upon birds and a few boats working the pilings. Started catching immediately. Most in the 20" range, but a few ranging up to 24". Caught 30-40 fish and kept limit of 8 for 4 man crew. After 6 hours or so we headed back and stopped to catch a few more in ripping tide at Lesnar Bridge. Fish were stacked up in light line. Great day on the water and lots of action. When rain picked up, anchored under bridge and kept on catching. Great day on the water and looking forward to bigger fish as weather gets colder.

Nice Report & Some Meat!!!

Glad you got a chance to get out there and get some fish! We fished Friday too. Friday wasn't a bad day to fish at all.

Fished Friday as well but stayed in the river. Never rained all day till about 730 at night when the sky opened up. Speck fishing was a bust but put a serious hurting on the puppy drums lips.
