Can anyone tell me if there are resident stripers that hold on the bridge pilings of the Virginia Dare Memorial Bridge (New bridge) in Croatan Sound? I'm headed down to our beach house in Nags Head for Presidents Day weekend and was hoping to take my boat out (18' cc) for some fishing, but not sure if there are any fish to be caught! Any suggestions?

Go to manns harbour bridge on roanoke island side. Swim jig, swim jig, bucktails close to bottom tight to bridge, keep rod tip high. Good Luck:

Manns Harbour Bridge (old hy) is about the surest bet. But you never can tell where you will find the stripers, they do move around.

iF YOU GO TO THE MANN'S Harbor Bridge go on the Opposite side of the Channel, ( Wooden Area Of Bridge) You Need Eel
s are the Ticket if you can find them. Jigs, Swimming lures and all that will Produce a Slow day... But if you Swim the Eel
s around the Pillars you will pick some Stripers .... I 've seen it in action and they are there most of the year...
