dennis i knew you'd have all the current fishing stories up here so here goes. "sport fishing is big business @ beach". am i the only one that gets a little nervous when i read stuff like this? sure it's great for the local economy, but what about the fish? can they handle the pressure? impact study is from 2005. i will bet the numbers have doubled or tripled since then. coming from germany, china & now zealand. it wasn't that long ago that no one could keep a striper. with all the other factors including us locals taking so many big girls is there another moritorium in the offing? at least maybe a reduction/change in bag limits or season. my 2 cents.

The cows got off lite this year. I had shoulder problems and was not able to savage them during the CBBT eeling fest season. :D:clap:

Due to the above there are thousands of cows swimming around that should be thanking their lucky stars and praying that hookinfinger has a shoulder problem relapse next year.:D

All kidding aside, I think that the recent arrests of the poachers along with all the fishing reports on the Internet and in newspapers will have an effect on our limits.

I think that the recent poaching arrests are just the tip of the iceberg. The law did not spend 5 years just to nail a few guys. My guess is that these guys will start squealing on many people in order to try and save their asses. I would be confident in betting the house that we will be reading about folks here in Virginia that were deeply involved in this ****.
