Trying to catch some croakers and maybe a few small stripers with the boys.

Bite was really slow in Colonial Beach and did not get a hit at Tappahannock during recent trips. Figure I may just as well head further down river for a little more action. I have fished these areas for past several years with good success so I don't think it was poor choice of baits or locations.

Bonum's Creek or Waterview are usually my next stops when things are slow further up river. Any info on recent trips to these areas would be very helpful.

Thanks,
FOM

Fished the Rapp last night off the Silos. Caught 20 croaker in the 14-16" category and a few small spot in about 1.5hours. Fished in 20-25' of water. Hope this helps. Good luck!

This past weekend caught between 25-35 good sized croaker in 3 days in Nomini Bay area on fishbites, squid, and peeler crab. A friend caught a cooler full with peeler crab.

I heard another report that they are on their way up the Potomac but haven't been fishing since this weekend so can't verify.
