I am planning a fishing trip to southwest Florida from May 6th - 20th. Have not decided exactly where to stay but somewhere between Ft. Meyers and Marco Island. Interested in shallow water, light tackle fishing. Any recommendations on where to stay and what fish to target?? Thanks.

Interested in renting a house in Port Charlotte? It is about 30-40 min north of Fort Myers. Will consider a weekly rental. I have a 2 BDRM w/pool on the Port Charlotte Golf Course about 10 min from the ramp in Charlotte Harbor Park. Close to Punta Gorda, El Jobean and the entire Charlotte Harbor area. Lot of good charter captains operate out of that area with access to the flats and rivers. Can send pix if interested. Bmail me if interested.
