FLY TYING NIGHT
Wednesday, January 14, 2009, 7:30pm, next to the Metro in Downtown Bethesda, MD

Join us for an evening tying your favorite patterns. Whether new to fly fishing or a veteran tier this is an evening well spent. Chapter members and other local experts will be demonstrating their expertise at the vise tying the usual suspects from saltwater streamers to #24 midge dries and everything in between. A great opportunity to learn more about tying and just hang out with fellow anglers.

Our monthly meetings are free and open to the public and are held at the Bethesda/Chevy Chase Center in downtown Bethesda. Doors open at 7:15pm for socializing. For directions log onto National Capital Chapter - Trout Unlimited.

This ought to be a lot of fun, and for those of you who want to learn how to tie there will be a Beginner's Table. The Bethesda Chevy Chase Services Center is located at 4805 Edgemoor Lane, and wee meet on the second floor of the building. Directions can be found on our website: National Capital Chapter - Trout Unlimited. Public parking is beneath the buidling.

Patterns

Do you know what type of patterns or species they will be doing? thanks and any more info would be good for it will be a long drive for me thanks snookman

There will be a variety of different patterns. Mike Critzer, a guide you may know, will be tying deceivers and saltwater patterns. We will have people tying different trout patterns like midges and pheasant tails. Another person will be doing rabbit strip patterns. Another fellow from Urban Angler will cover salmon and steelhead stuff. I'll be tying shad patterns. Someone is probably going to do some big musky patterns. Hope to see you there!
