The Minot model was sometimes referred to as the "poor man's Katama". It has the same console as the Katama but the Minot was not equipped with a windshield. It also had a flat fiberglass seat in place of the Katama's wooden seat. This boat is in Baltimore, MD.

Everything on this boat works and the fiberglass is all original. I am the 2nd owner of this boat which I bought in 1980. The original owner painted the bottom but I have never stored this boat in the water. I have always stored this boat on the trailer and covered in my yard. I have kept the paint on it because I never wanted to go through the hassle of having the paint removed. I bought the trailer new in 1992. I bought the 2001 90 hp Johnson new in 2002 and it has 274 hours on it. The motor runs like new! The VRO pump was replaced in July of 2011. The rig includes compass, fishfinder, VHF, Personal Flotation Devices ( PFDs), anchor & line, paddle, spare propeller, trailer spare tire, trailering cover.

This boat was pictured here in the Cetecea section at the bottom of the page:
