About the same luck we had. We only got one knockdown all day a 26" fish off the Cape. Plenty of bait and fish marks but nothing biting. Oh well still beats working!
The fish that were in corolla have moved way offshore. They most likely will not return inshore down south until it gets colder. We have west winds for the next 10 dyas so they will not come inshore down there. Also not really going to get colder anytime soon. Mouth of bay best bet for a while.
We picked up two in a couple hours. The first was about a mile south of Rudee and one was straight off Rudee and both caught in 30' of water. Around 3:00 to 4:00 the birds started working and we started marking alot of bait but it never turned on. We felt luck picking up two nice ones over 35". We tough it out in a CC with no cover.
What about all the monsters being shown, on the Virginia Beach Fishing Center site , as recently caught by the fleet? Are they all running that much further South? Comments on the website state some are making two trips per day!
