Fished Monday out of Rudee. Began around 9 after the fog had lifted. Started just south of the inlet under a huge cloud gannets diving and whales feeding in about 30 feet of water. Not the first bite, but lots of bait. Fished the area for about 3 hours then ran to the Green Can. Caught a single 38 inch fish in about 1 hour. Then ran north off Smith Island where Doug an I caught 3 40 inch fish in about 15 minutes. Put out a report on the radio to help others that were having a hard day. All fish were caught on Long A Bombers behind Mojos. No nibbles on the Mojos, Stretches, shad, or daisey chain eels. Burned about 12 gallons of gas in Doug's 19' Wahoo. Calm seas and reasonable temperatures for a change. Craige (Mary E)

Nice job on the catch! Even better when you burn little to NO fuel!

Smith island is the eastern shore.

The water temps are in the low 40's.........42.5....over the weekend.

My boat has 4 gallons of anti-freeze in the raw water side. Have buddies to fish with until the tuna show in NC or the wind lets up for me to go 70 miles east. I usually just drive anyway. I did crank one on Monday. Craige
