I have a Garmin 250 FF, it has been discontinued. My transducer mount has broken, but the transducer itself is ok. Cant seem to find this small plastic mount anywhere, without purchasing the entire transducer assembly. If I do that, it seems that I might as well upgrade now and replace the entire system.

Any help would be apprieciated on where to find this simple plastic mount for the transducer.

Or it looks like upgrade time, which I dont want to spend the $$$ this year

Make one out of wood. I've made a couple for trolling motors..Use mahogany or maple then coat with polyureathane.

Wood sounds like a possible temp fix, but will it last the season, completely submerged?

How many coats of polyuerethane?

Any suggestions on where to pick up the wood?
