My Garmin 120 is'nt working. Should I send it back or is there someone local who can look at it ??

I've always contacted Garmin. I have a 250 color fishfinder that I had a minor problem. It was out of warranty by about a month. They replaced the unit with a new one, fully loaded with the latest software at no cost to me. I hope you have the same experience.

You have to send it back. Garmin does not authorize local service on their units. That's why a lot of marine electronics shops won't carry them.
